Ursels Web News
Welcome to Ursel's Web, a gallery of fine art and custom framing.

For over thirty years we have been your source for custom framing. Diplomas, photographs, needlework, paintings, mirrors, and all your treasured memories, family heirlooms, are framed on location by Ursel and her helpful and friendly staff. We use museum quality, acid-free archival matting and backing boards, and offer a choice of glazing materials including non-glare and ultraviolet light-filtering options.  We also offer Shadow boxes for object framing.

We frame what you bring us, or we can order museum quality prints to help decorate your home or office. Prints can be ordered in "canvas transfer" form for the look and feel of real oil paintings.

Our gallery also offers artwork ranging from prints to original works by local artists.

We feature a new artist every month working in conjunct with the Middletown Art Guild.

by Ursel Shaffer on 02/24/14

Greetings to all our "Web Friends!"

Thank you for helping us a great 2013 Christmas season!

Our fourth annual Easter Shop is now up and running and packed with many great items in wood and glass, like Chickens, Ducks, Hummingbirds, Bunnies, and of course Smokers, which are not just for Christmas.

Our Easter Reception is March 22nd during normal business hours, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Local artist featured will be Mary Geary, who works in assorted mediums. This year along with her assorted hand-painted wooden Easter eggs, she has created a new series of round and oval wooden boxes for this holiday. Each unique keepsake box will have a different painted scene featuring rabbits, chickens or ducks.

There is a great deal of local talent in the area, and take pride in helping artist showcase their wares. Support local art and own an original piece at a reasonable price.

Hope to see you at the Web!

Happy New Year!

by Ursel Shaffer on 01/14/14

Greetings to all our Web Friends,

We hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season, and 2014 is off to great start for each of you.

Here at the Web we are winding down our Christmas Shop and soon it will be packed away until next year.

Our monthly Middletown Art Guild exhibits are once again up and running, and as always all pieces are

ready to be purchased for both home and office.

We kick off January with artist Donna Dubreuil Favreau of Westbrook, CT who works in oil, watercolor and pastel.

Donna is the Great Grand daughter of Sebastian G. Marchese the artist and sculptor who was not only one of the

founders of Saint Sebastian Church here in the city of Middletown, but the creator of the iconic statue that travels

the streets during the May Festival.

The pieces she has chosen to display at the Web are from her pilgrimage to Middletown's sister city of Melilli Sicily.

Please stop in during normal business hours to view this wonderful collection.

Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
